Accountability

Being accountable means being responsible and humble, to “own” the choices you have made, whether the outcomes are comfortable or uncomfortable.  It means being open and honest with another person, to account for your behavior.  Accountability is something we all need—we need boundaries and structure and opportunities to be emotionally vulnerable and honest.  By accounting to another person (as well as to myself and to my God or Higher Power), I invite the power of empathy, love and validation into my life.  By being accountable, I am also practicing rigorous emotional honesty, personal responsibility and humility (willingness).
