Resentments

Resentments are expectations that did not come to fruition.  All of us have expectations, and that is completely appropriate.  However, whenever any of us expects something, we are responsible to recognize and manage that expectation, and to meet it for ourselves.  Resentment comes in when we cast blame onto another person, object, situation, experience, etc. for our expectation not being met.  Furthermore, every person on the planet feels resentment at some point in their lives.  We are responsible to use our resentments as “warning lights” to alert us that we have violated our own moral code, been irresponsible, or somehow harmed ourselves.
