Creating Distractions

Creating distractions is a denial strategy. When I create any type of distraction I do so because I am attempting to ignore the Reality or the person in front of me. To ignore Reality, I divert the attention of myself and/or others to someone or someone else, by doing anything that will distract or shift attention away from me. This includes (but is not limited to) changing the subject, joking around, using anger to scare or threaten others, using shocking language or telling shocking stories, etc.
