Control vs. Surrender Classroom
Control
There are very few things any of us is actually “in control of.” We can can’t control other people, our environments, the sunrise, even our own breath is not under our control. We have the responsibility to manage our thoughts, feelings and choices/behaviors. Everything outside of these is outside of our control. When we attempt to control our external world, other people, etc., we exit reality and enter denial. We develop shame-based patterns of thinking.
Surrender
Surrendering is the process of coming into the Truth that we are not in control of our world. To surrender outcomes, poor choices, unmanageable situations, etc. to a Higher Power is to live in the Truth, with peace and power and without shame.
